Transocean owned and operated the Deepwater Horizon, a mobile offshore drilling unit, in the Gulf of Mexico. As the owner, Transocean leased the drilling rig to BP. Thereafter, cement contractor Halliburton supplied its services in the oil field. This collaboration could never have anticipated what happened in the spring of 2010.
