Kenneth H. (Kenny) Hooks, III
In 1997, Kenny graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. While pursuing legal education, Kenny was the law clerk for Distinguished Law Professor Lucy McGough, and two of Louisiana’s most effective legislative lobbying organizations; The Louisiana Banker’s Association and The Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association. It was also during this period that Kenny clerked for and became affiliated with the Firm. Mr. Hooks is an adjunct Professor of Law at the Southern University School of Law, teaching courses in Admiralty and Maritime Personal Injury. In the Spring of 2007, Mr. Hooks was appointed as the Legal Counsel for the Louisiana Democratic Party, a position he currently holds. Mr. Hooks is admitted to the Bar of the State of Louisiana and is a member of all State and Federal Courts of Louisiana, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Hooks has been admitted Pro Hac Vice in the Courts of California, Texas, Flordia, and Puerto Rico. Mr. Hooks is a member of the Maritime Law Association, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, the Louisiana Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and holds a position on the Board of Governors for the Louisiana Association for Justice. Kenny resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with his wife of 11 years, Lindi Fallon Hooks and is the father of a 6 year old daughter, Haleigh Elise Hooks. |
