Ann Bufkin (Of Counsel)

Ann was born on March 10, 1958 in Tylertown, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1979 earning a B.S. in Nursing. Ms. Bufkin graduated with Special Distinction and was active in the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. She received the Academic Achievement Scholarship award and the Deposit Guaranty National Bank Scholarship Award.

Ms. Bufkin practiced nursing for 20 years in the areas of Pediatric and Adult Critical Care, Emergency Room and Flight Nursing. Ms. Bufkin served as an educator for King's Daughters Hospital in Brookhaven, MS, as well as, an instructor for the American Heart Association in Basic and Advanced Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal Life Support. She received the Excellence in Nursing Award during her tenure as Flight Nurse at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, LA.

In 1996, Ann graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. Ms. Bufkin is admitted to the Bar of the State of Louisiana and is a member of all State and Federal Courts of Louisiana, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. Ms. Bufkin is also admitted to the Bar of the State of Mississippi and is also a member of all State and Federal Courts in Mississippi. She served for one year as Magistrate Judge in Port Vincent, Louisiana.

Ann resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with her husband, Tim who is a Vietnam veteran and helicopter pilot in the Gulf of Mexico.
