Kerry D. Brown (Of Counsel)

Kerry BrownKerry was born July 11, 1971 in Lutcher, Louisiana. In December of 1990, he began serving a 2 year volunteer mission for his church in Ecuador. Upon returning from Ecuador, he attended BYU-Idaho and earned an Associate of Arts and Science Degree in International Business. He then attended The University of Utah graduating in 1997 with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in US Foreign Policy and minors in Sociology and Spanish. Kerry is fluent in Spanish.

He attended Southern University Law Center, earning a Juris Doctorate degree in 2000. While pursuing his law degree, Kerry served as a member of The Moot Court, as well as Chairman of The Moot Court Board. He also won Best Oralist while competing at the Pace University Moot Court Competition in New York. Kerry was then presented a Chancellor's Award for exemplary Performance in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. The Southern University Board of Supervisors also awarded Kerry the Award of Excellence in 2000.

Kerry is licensed to practice in all State and Federal courts within Louisiana, and is currently a member of The American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, DuPont Community Action Panel, and Louisiana District Attorney's Association.

He is currently serving as a Prosecutor for St. John the Baptist Parish. Kerry also has a private Law Practice in La Place where his primary emphases of practice are Personal Injury and Business Litigation. He is General Counsel for La Place Ford Dealership and New Home Ministries, La Place. Kerry and his wife Staci reside in La Place with their 3 children, Alexsis, Kerry II, and Kai.
